Anyone know why? Is it resale? I know Ticketmaster normally sells Hamilton tickets but it seems like Telecharge is also now. And not for tours- just checked and could buy for Broadway.
Very unusual, as I always thought each theatre had an exclusive contract with a single ticketing agency. These are not resale tickets, just regular box office seats available on both sites, although Ticketmaster does have some clearly identified resale tickets at stupid prices. And it appears to be the same inventory (except for the AmEx Preferred tickets that are only available on Ticketmaster) and same pricing. When I did a dummy purchase of the same mezzanine seat A104 on Feb 24 on both sites, I did notice that Telecharge was a few dollars cheaper in fees as it doesn't have the "order processing fee" of $3.20 that Ticketmaster has.

It gets curiouser and curiouser. I did the same thing and I was able to search the Telecharge site for tickets. When I got to the checkout page the URL was https://tickets.telecharge.com/checkout/payment not Ticketmaster. That said, the pages for selecting and purchasing tickets looked nothing like the usual Telecharge pages. Maybe Telecharge now has some kind of arrangement with TM to sell the TM inventory under the Telecharge banner?
I did the same and was not redirected to Ticketmaster for seat selection or payment. It truly does look like Telecharge has ticket inventory to purchase for Hamilton. I would go further with this find but I can’t afford Hamilton tickets right now or else I’d make a purchase and see what happens when I get to the theatre.

As does Aladdin & Lion King, but when you go to either of their pages on Telecharge and click Find Tickets you are taken to a Ticketmaster page. Not so for Hamilton, or MJ, Six, Lehman Trilogy, Tina or Wicked which also have the asterisk. You're instead taken to a page that looks nothing like the usual Telecharge purchase page or the usual Ticketmaster purchase page, but it has a Telecharge URL. So perhaps TM and TC have figured out how to display and sell the same inventory for the same show but under their own brands?
Strange. Hogan did you purchase a ticket through Telecharge? I’m assuming it did but I’ll ask anyway: did the seat disappear from the Ticketmaster inventory for the show you purchased?

I haven't actually purchased a Hamilton ticket through Telecharge, but I can tell you that once I reached the final page in my dummy Hamilton purchase, where you enter the payment information and complete the purchase, I instead paused. I then went to the TM site, where the same seat appeared to be available on the seating chart. I clicked on it, but got a message that someone else had already reserved that seat. So it does appear to be drawing from exactly the same inventory in real time.
I did not purchase a ticket; I simply did a dummy transaction up to the last step, which enabled me to see the delivery method. FWIW I cannot imagine that the seat would not have disappeared because it is obvious that they are drawing from the same inventory database. If you are really that interested, you could check TM during the set aside time on TC to see that the seat is not available on the former. I don't really think there is anything strange about this, just a new marketing technique that seems to ally TC and TM I gather to the exclusion of the new kid on the block, Seatgeek.

Hogan, I hadn't even considered this, but you may have hit the nail on the head. From their perspective, probably better for TM & TC to cooperate as the two dominant ticketing agents against the new kid that only has one theatre group under contract.
