I'm a huge fan of Williams, and am looking to read a biography of his life. I wanted to reach out to the boards and ask what is a good one to read. Thanks for the help.
I'm going to say that I prefer reading Williams' diaries (they are all published) and letters (again-most of these are available).
Since he was such a prolific letter writer and diarist, his own writing is more interesting-just my two cents.

His autobiography "Memoirs" is a good place to start
Donald Spoto's book "The Kindness of Strangers"
His brothers book is an interesting read from the family background perspective although may be a bit biased. "Tennessee Williams: An Intimate Biogrpahy" by Dakin Williams
And you may want to read the short article that Truman Capote wrote when Williams died. It's in "A Capote Reader".
The Memoirs is really a good one. Spoto's book is okay. I do like the family one by Dakin.
