Well it is apparently official that this Sunday, August 3rd will be Cady Huffman's final performance as Ulla the Swedish Secretary/Receptionist in The Producers on Broadway. She is the last of The Producers original Broadway cast of featured actors to move on. I have had the pleasure of enjoying Cady's Tony winning performance three times during The Producers current Broadway run and each time Cady's portrayal of Ulla has been a highlight for me.
While she'll most likely never see this, I'd like to use this forum to say,
"Congratulations and thank you Cady for providing some wonderful memories. I'll never look at Eleven o'clock the same way again. Best of luck in the future and I look forward to seeing you back on Broadway soon."
That's funny. August 3rd is also Harriet Harris's last performance in Millie. Cady Huffman, in my opinion, didn't deserve the Tony for her performance, although it was a good performance. She did a good job. Best of luck to her!

Aw, I love the Cady! Unfortunately, I've only seen her 2 out of my 4 Producers times, but she had so much chemistry with Roger Bart as Leo. What a voice, and what a body!
Sigh...now there's no more OBC lead in the show...
Two plus years of world class performances by Cady as Ulla on Broadway. When you see The Producers the audience usually thoroughly enjoys the "Keep It Gay" scene and just when you think you will get a break from laughter Cady comes on as Ulla and blows everyone else away with "When You Got It, Flaunt It".
She's leaving. Say it ain't so. I think I'm getting misty!
Cady is one of the reasons that I even went to see The Producers! She gives me goosebumps with "Flaunt".
Say what you will about Cady - She deserved that Tony.
You need a lot of things to be a great Ulla - you need to have a killer belt, legs that Grable would envy, an ability to dance up a storm, great comic timing, and a BIG personality. And she needs to be LIKEABLE as well as sexy. Cady had ALL those qualities. I saw it once with her understudy, and the comparisons were not kind to Cady's Ulla-in-waiting.
Best of Luck, Cady - come back to Broadway soon!
Having seen Cady in all of the nine performances of The Producers I saw on Broadway, I can only say, "Best wishes on your next endeavor and thank you for your wonderful performance as Ulla!" I'll also miss our crazy "Southern California girl" conversations in Angus after the show. You are terrific and bubbly on and off the stage. I'll look forward to seeing you on stage again in the future.
i saw her 5 out of the 6 times i saw the show (it just wasn't the same without nathan and matthew) and she was great every time. her understudy just didn't do it justice, in my opinion. i'm surprised she stayed in this long.....but she was brillant. (claps) wonderful job cady.
