This in turn puts pressure on producers and theatres to close anyway so as not to appear socially irresponsible, but without the official government shutdown theatres are vulnerable from being ineligible for insurance etc. Very underhand

Days after I wrote that, yes. And not before I got to double Chekhov. A mediocre, but well performed Conor McPherson -adapted Vanya and Jamie Lloyd's exquisite Seagull (with Khaleesi!).
