I guess I am in the minority here- I found the show to be silly- not funny and basically a waste of time. I sat second row center and was hoping to love a sophisticated satire- or at least a great comedy- it was neither, IMO. 

Joe Turner's Come and Gone -- Shubert
Taraji Henson- love her

Giant, Oedipus, the Noel Coward comedy of manners, Bug- Bertha Russell- aka Carrie Coon in the flesh- can't wait

The Balusters- want to see John Boy doing this show.

Trump would have fired the numbers reporter for these shows.

Saw Devil Wears Prada in London in March- and do not recommend it. First of all, the music is mediocre at best- very underwhelming and disappointing. The story is basically a retelling of the movie- with nothing new to offer. the costumes are flashy- the acting is good- but really- I think you can doing better with another show. 

People also forget that there is economic hardship- and getting harder- for many people. Regardless- I hope BUENA Vista Social Club goes on and on and on.....loved that so much!

I guess it was just me then. Thank you everyone for your input- I guess- for whatever reason- I had a really hard time at this show.

Children- prince or not- are not fair game.

Who knows what is being negotiated- it could even be a truncated version of Sunset Boulevard on stage at one of the venues. The scenery is not all that difficult to produce- and this could be a hit- something different- and with Tony and Olivier awards under her belt- could be a draw for tourists. She could do this for a month of two- and be paid a very nice sum- so that could also be a possibility. 

Flora The Red Menace---Kander and Ebb--- loved it when I saw it in 1965- and still listen to th soundtrack. Liza was amazing in it- but a new and talented younger performer could take that score- and story- and make it shine. Eve Hewson could do it.

Patti and Audra at the Winter Garden- we need a BWAY special event-- featuring these two in concert- each one gets an act- and the end is them singing together--Springsteen eat your heart out. Tony's for both!

The world is her oyster now- with Tony and Olivier wins for Sunset---she can do whatever she wants- maybe a new musical- maybe a concert tour- maybe a beloved revival- all eyes will be on her, whatever she decides to do. Probably the will take a long break after the marathon runs in London and NY--but she needs to parlay this triumph into something really big to keep the momentum going.

Puhleez--of course it was shady--and Oprah had to obliquely stir the pot for some reason---a mistake IMO- but she is a huge BWAY supporter- and one faux pas does not make her Satan- any more than Nicole's political views- whatever they may actually be- should cause so much online criticism. And even if her political views align with the current administration- so what? She is entitled to her political viewpoint as much as anyone whose POV differs from hers.
