This is my first time in NY this time of year, and I'm wondering how shows are typically selling on the Thanksgiving weekend? I noticed Halloween was pretty bad (low grosses, lots of special discounts). Is it similar for Thanksgiving or is it the opposite?
Trying to figure out if it's worth is using the long weekend to try some rushes/lotteries or if I'm better of staying away because it'll be crazy and do shows where I can buy tickets in advance like View From The Bridge with LincTix.

It's a BUSY weekend...but I can't speak about how crowded lotteries get.

You can see general annual patterns in the major holidays with the big gross chart. Halloween weekend this year was week 44, and every year shows a dip around that time. Week 48 is around the Thanksgiving holiday.

I did look at at that, but week 48 didn't seem to stand out in a either a positive or negative way, so I wanted to see what feeling people got in previous years, especially in terms of the rushes/lotteries, which the grosses will tell you nothing about.

I just moved to the States, so this is my first Thanksgiving and I don't know what to expect Broadway-wise. So it might sound stupid, but I was wondering if Broadway shows also offer Black Friday discounts?

No, the purpose of Black Friday discounts for retail is to get people into their stores as opposed to other stores; competition is extremely heavy when many stores sell overlapping products like electronics. The arts aren't like that.
