I was listening to the "Motown" cast recording the other day. Not because I think it's that grand a show, I simply enjoy the songs and found the performances flawless and out of this world.
While listening to the three original songs that Berry Gordy wrote for the show, "Hey Joe (Black Like Me)," "It's What's in the Grooves that Counts" and "Can I Close the Door on Love?" I found the new songs actually not that bad, especially "Can I Close The Door" mostly because I find Brandon Victor Dixon performance's wonderful and moving and I actually think it's a well written song.
What does everybody else think of these songs?
