Krysta Rodriguez announced as the next Roxie

No shade to Jinkx, but I would argue that we have Pamela Anderson to thank for kicking that renaissance off.

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 5/3/26

Taking a wild guess that they're already talking to Whitney and Mark for a return engagement to Chicago this fall. Those numbers are incredible.

Chicago Tour Stop in San Antonio

Maybe I missed it, but is the tour closing after its Philadelphia stop?  They have no bookings for the rest of this 25-26 season and nothing lined up for the 26-27 touring season.

2026-2027 Season Tour Launches

Outsiders has announced a two-week return engagement to Chicago from August 4-16.  This is two of the three weeks they were supposed to be in DC.  Glad they were able to fill up part of that gap period and hope they can land another venue to play the week after their Toronto run.

BEACHES Previews

If a musical takes more than 10 years to come to Broadway, it doesn't want to be a musical.

2026-2027 Season Tour Launches

Damn. It was the last engagement for Back to the Future and so I guess they'll shutter following their Portland engagement.

I wonder if Outsiders can pop right into the National Theatre.

There's a three week period between Beetlejuice and Notebook that essentially fills the gap in their tour schedule.

2026-2027 Season Tour Launches

Have we heard any updates or rumblings about the status of the shows slated to run at the Kennedy Center this summer? Moulin Rouge ends its engagement July 5, but Back to the FutureDoubtfire, and Outsiders have July and August engagements after this supposed two-year closure begins.

2026-2027 Season Tour Launches

Aside from Beautiful Noise, do we know definitively which tours are switching to non-equity this year?

RAGTIME 2025 New Broadway Cast Recording Thread

I believe the original recording had an additional 10 string musicians or so, although someone correct me if I'm wrong.

RAGTIME 2025 New Broadway Cast Recording Thread

It's fantastic. Of course the original recording will never be topped but this is a damn good recording of a damn good score. I will be having this version of Till We Reach That Day on constant repeat.

I'm so thrilled the production is seeing such success and I hope it continues through 2026 -- we really need this show in this anniversary year.  This truly is the rare kind of score that will be listened to and revered many long de

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 12/7/25

I don't think the return of Beetlejuice is paying off the way the producers were hoping it would.

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 11/2/25

Does Halloween at all affect turnout for Broadway?  With the holiday landing on a Friday this year leading to the "Halloweekend" of parties and other gatherings, does it affect ticket sales at all?  Is there a historical precedence?

It was a down week definitely but still on par with this time last year and still up from 2023 levels.

Oracle: 42nd St and CAROUSEL

That's all fine and dandy but... how does one make 42nd Street dark à la Sunset Boulevard?  Have they read the script?  A dark look into the underbelly of Broadway it ain't.  And I adore 42nd Street.

(unless there's a vision I just cannot see for the life of me)

Love Carpenter tho and would love to have her back on Broadway one day.

More Tours Coming to Broadway?

Sutton Ross said: "that is some community center level garbage."

And it's going to make BANK.

THE GREAT GATSBY Opening Night Critics’ Reviews

EDSOSLO858 said: "As was rumored, Jeremy Jordan will return to the show starting November 10."

Curious that the rumor was it would be a limited return for the holidays and no where in the announcement does it say anything about a "limited run."  While I can't imagine it being a long term return, I wonder if they have him contracted past the holidays and through the winter as well?

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 9/28/25

I wonder if back-to-school has hit Outsiders more than they anticipated.  We know that the Thursday matinees were very popular for school groups.  I remember that last year they started doing Thursday matinees relatively early on in the beginning of September.  This year, Thursday matinees don't start for another two weeks. I'm curious to see how their grosses compare come October/November.  Either way, I think they might have it in them to

Favorite Entr'actes

I know people yearn for the return of Overtures, but I yearn for the return of Entr'actes. Most shows nowadays steamroll right back into the action, giving audiences barely any breathing room to get settled after intermission.

I get so irked when the audience is still milling about and the house lights just completely go out (not even a brief fade to half anymore) and when they come up, we're immediately back to telling the story, and all you hear are bags being shuffled,

THE GREAT GATSBY Opening Night Critics’ Reviews

My guess is a ten week run. November 10 through January 18. Curious to see the box office returns.

THE GREAT GATSBY Opening Night Critics’ Reviews

Sales are dwindling.  Weekly grosses have been under $1 million for a few weeks now.  I feel like the steam is running out for this production.  Unless they have some surprise stunt casting in the works, I think they'll hold on for the remainder of the year and close come January.
