Can you clarify what you mean by Best Broadway Turn please?

"It's a great feeling of power to be naked in front of people. We're happy to watch actual incredible graphic violence and gore, but as soon as somebody's naked it seems like the public goes a bit bananas about the whole thing."

Best Broadway Return: the return of an actor to Broadway after a long absence.

Just a reminder: this is only applicable to shows that opened in the 2006 calendar year. A show like Sweeney Todd is only eligible in the Best/Worst Replacement category (Judy Kaye).

What's the difference between a Broadway Debut and a Breakthrough?

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I would think breakthrough would be someone who's been on broadway before but not really ever recognized for being fantastic until they did this role...did that make sense?

Gumbo - Yes.

Hook - Breakthrough, as gumbo pretty much summed up, is someone who is getting the recognition they've deserved for a long time.

Are only Broadway shows eligible (obviously excluding the Off-Broadway show category)?

I'm assuming best and worst show tune of the year have to be from new shows that opened during the eligibility period?
