re: The 1st Annual Yankeefan007 Awards for Excellence in Theatre (2006 Edition)

Can you clarify what you mean by Best Broadway Turn please?
"It's a great feeling of power to be naked in front of people. We're happy to watch actual incredible graphic violence and gore, but as soon as somebody's naked it seems like the public goes a bit bananas about the whole thing."

Best Broadway Return: the return of an actor to Broadway after a long absence.

Just a reminder: this is only applicable to shows that opened in the 2006 calendar year. A show like Sweeney Todd is only eligible in the Best/Worst Replacement category (Judy Kaye).

Do we need to give you nominees for all the categories?

The choice may have been mistaken, The choosing was not...

re: The 1st Annual Yankeefan007 Awards for Excellence in Theatre (2006 Edition)

What's the difference between a Broadway Debut and a Breakthrough?
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

re: The 1st Annual Yankeefan007 Awards for Excellence in Theatre (2006 Edition)

Are only Broadway shows eligible (obviously excluding the Off-Broadway show category)?

"What was the name of that cheese that I like?" "you can't run away forever...but there's nothing wrong with getting a good head start" "well I hope and I pray, that maybe someday, you'll walk in the room with my heart"
