There already is one ... a terrific one with the original cast, Alan Alda, Barbara Harris and Larry Blyden.
It's gonna be hard to top.

Like I said before, someone on Glitter: The Official Kristin Chenoweth Fan Club, talked to Kristin at the stage door and she said there will be one. No info on when it will be recorded or when it will be released yet.

A show starring Kristin Chenoweth, and with a logo like that, it'd be hard to believe if there isn't one.
Sony is planning on recording it.

I thought PS Classics was recording it. That's what Michael Bennett (the BWW user) said.

I had made mention on this Board that PSClassics was in discussions with Roundabout in regards to both AT and 110. With Kristin being a Sony artist, it makes sense that they would record the show. Angel does everything that Bernadette touches. Columbia did Pajama Game for Harry Connick.
Maybe things have changed, but I was told Sony.
Nonesuch is doing 110.
Oh I sure hope they record it...
Based on this thread it seems like a done deal, so thats exciting!

In the world of recording theater, NOTHING is a done deal until it appears in stores.
Thats actually a very good point, YankeeFan...
It deserves a second disc. I'm sure it will happen, though probably not before the end of the run. Still, nothing can beat the original recording, which I'm sure, most Cheno fans have never heard. I love Ms. CHeno, but come on, she's no Barbara Harris.
It can't be recorded without an online petition. Or a post from brian.
I think brian only cares about jukebox musicals and piles of steaming crap.
Anyone who has seen this production knows that we need THIS CAST recording.
The merch guy at the theatre yesterday said they are recording it but it won't be released until after the end of the run most likely.
I saw it and i don't need it recorded.
Nothing can top Barbara Harris, anyway.
I don't need this recording. I have Harris singing "Gorgeous".
I think the Barbara Harris recording is wonderful, but I still see a need for the recording of this "Apple Tree." Harris and Chenoweth each bring something different to the show...Harris is a better actress than Chenoweth...Chenoweth has a better voice than Harris...both are enjoyable in "The Apple Tree." Having both recordings is a good thing.

That and the fact that Harris did not really do the high note in "Gorgeous." Cheno has.
For me, the best piece of recorded history on this show will always be Harris' stunning Tony performance.
There was a letter about this in the Sunday Times.
Just because Cheno can hit high notes doesn't make her voice better, just higher.
I'd rather listen to Harris any day, and i like Cheno.
