Braxton was a scary funny joke. Belle was totally whoed up for that one. At least we got 'A Change In Me' out of that. It is a nice song.... Menken ripped it off fro the theme Park version of Aalddin at California Adventure though.

"A change in Me. Menken ripped it off fro the theme Park version of Aalddin at California Adventure though."
Not really Broadwayguy2, I've seen the Aladdin at DCA, and 1) The Aladdin show wasn't even out then, and 2) Jasmine sings the new song "Too be Free" to the melody under Genie's monlogue where he talks about being free "Poof! Whattaya need Poof! Whattaya need all the time!"
So, no the songs are different. By the way you can buy the cd now!

sorry Rob. Let me make it clearer. 'To Be Free' was written AFTER 'A Change In Me' was added to 'Beauty' and the mood and lyrics seem very similar. MANY other people have commented on the songs being similar.

It's all good, excpet "A Change in Me Had to have been modeled off of "To Be Free" since they used the exact melody from the Aladdin soundtrack, listen to track number seven, it's the exact melody with words added, so I think it's funny that Jasmine sings it when that theme song is so uncosciously connected with Genie. The first time I heard it I was like, uh, that's GENIE'S THEME SONG, lol
anyhow, it's all good, just making a point, lol :)

::broadwayguy's slow moving ass gets trampled by 1,595 terrified audience members with bleeding ears fleeing the Marguis Thetare as Britney lip-syncs to her pre-recorded 'belt' during "Gimme, Gimme" while dressed in a whoed up version of Millie's red beaded dress that is now redesigned to show a lot of silicon cleavage, lypo-ed abs, and lypo-ed thighs::
