what are you talking about??
Her voice is crystal pure.
She has a 5 and half octive range,
she is called the next Julie Andrews/Patti Lupone.
She can have an angellic soprano
as well as belt the balcony down!

LOL What about Reba McEntyre as Mama Rose! eeek
"Come on ya'll, git back out on that stage." lol No offense because I love Reba, but Annie Oakley...and maybe Aunt Eller from Oklahoma are the only roles I can see her doing.

Posted: 8/16/03 at 11:26amNow wait, Hasselhoff was an okay Jekyll/Hyde. His acting was HORRIBLE, but he doesn't have a bad voice. I would have much prefered the OBC on the DVD with Linda Eder. Not as Jekyll.

Posted: 8/16/03 at 11:55amHi! I am a new member of the site. Anyway, I think that so far, from all the show's I have seen, any Peggy Sawyer that has been cast in 42nd Street has just been terrible. Talk about absolutley no vocal power, and no passion at all.

I've seen 42nd Street, and I have a few different recordings of the show...I didnt think the Peggy Sawyers were bad...(Meredith Patterson-wonderful vocal quality)
But, you are entitled to your opinion...

It's true FFARLS. I was just discussing that with a friend last week. I mean, I know the main focus is the dancing, but the line "You can chirp like a bird" kind of loses all meaning when the character does not have a great voice.
I wasn't completely dissapointed with Kate Levering, but really I haven't been very impressed with any Peggy Sawyer.

So you're saying Sam Harris, Hunter Foster, Megan Mullaly, Sherie Rene Scott, and Billy Porter are bad?

Michael Crawford in DOTV.
WHY did they ruin a perfectly good show? I loved the original. Still love the music.

Posted: 8/18/03 at 9:23amMy opinion was really made after I cought Kaye Levring in Thou Shall Not (sp?). Yes, I saw that horrible thing! I saw her in '42nd Street, thought she was OK, and then saw her in TSN, and knew that she really was an amazing dancer, but not a singer at all. Also, I have always wished that Felicia Finley would play Peggy Sawyer, she can dance and sing and I think she would actually bring depth to the role. But, again, it's my opinion.
