The Boy From Oz final performances - question

I'm trying to clarify info about the performance schedule for the final weekend of The Boy From Oz.

(I went to the forum on the show website - but those Ozalots are pretty protective of their tickets/info)

Anyway - I know that the final performance is September 12, and is completely sold out, with most of the seating being reserved for invited guests.

My question is about Saturday, September 11th. According to Telecharge (both online and phone) the only performance is at 2pm and there are limited ticket avails in the rear mezzanine. BUT - I've also heard that there is a Saturday 8pm performance that is sold out - but was available to the public. Does anyone know if this is true??

And - finally - if you have any good connections to brokers, can you PM me? I'm trying to get a ticket or two for the final weekend. (Am I allowed to ask that here - or does it belong on another board??)

Yes, there is a Saturday evening performance.

I'm not sure what the status of tickets for the final week is. For a while, Telecharge has only listed rear mezzanine seats, so I think at some point they put a block on orchestra seats. (It seemed to happen all at once, so it's not a matter of all the other seats suddenly selling out.) I've never seen orchestra seats for 9/12, but I think there were originally some for that Saturday.

That confirms what I thought. (That there is an evening performance). The person on the Telecharge line was quite insistent that there was only one performance that day...

I know it's an impossible ticket - but I just wanted to make sure I had all the 'facts'.

I wouldn't give up just yet. At the moment, it seems impossible, but things might change as the date gets closer. I don't think the tickets are all sold out, just held, so it's possible that a few might eventually become available.

Beginning to think that my 9/12 rear mezz ticket will end up being a real bargain. And yeah, I'll upgrade if I can.

The premium seating seems to be sold out for all of September. I keep trying though.

Try again. I just heard that tickets for the final week (not including the final performance) are now available. But at premium prices.

Tickets for the last week (up to the Sept 11 matinee) are now available, both at regular ( $ 101.25 plus charges) and at premium seating prices ( $251.25 plus charges) at Telecharge. There are orchestra seats on the left or right side available at around Row N ( 15th row) the last time I checked about an hour or so ago. You may also want to check Front Mezz and might be able to get some good seats at regular prices.

There is a rumoured performance for September 13 ( Monday) for THE ACTORS FUND, but that has not been confirmed by the producers or THE ACTORS FUND.

It looks like the last official performance on September 12 is intended mainly for family and friends of the show ( except for Rear Mezz, where these seats have been sold out to the public for sometime now).

Just an update --

Tickets for the last evening performance of THE BOY FROM OZ ( September 11) have now been released. At the moment tickets for the evening performance are not available on the Telecharge online site but can be purchased by calling Telecharge directly.

Tickets for the last performance ( matinee, September 12) have not been released and there is no indication at the moment that they will be released to the general public.

Sorry for being random, but this has to do with the tix I just got for September 2-- I think I may be the only theatre fan who hasn't seen this yet. How's row P orchestra? Good view? My friend going with me is a HUGE fan of Jackman.

It looks like it can also be obtained through the online site of Telecharge - but you have to go through the ADVANCE FIND link. If you indicate September 11 as the ending date of a search for a period( Search Sept 4 to Sept 11 ), the options for a "Saturday 8:00 pm" performance come up.

I just got tickets for the 8pm performance on 9/11, which were just released.

I asked about the final performance on 9/12, and they said that they weren't released YET - meaning there's still a glimmer of hope.

If anyone hears anything about 9/12 - I'll BUY YOU A TICKET if you let me know in time to buy them (and I get one, too)!!!!!

Thanks for the info - my Mom is THRILLED to be going on the 11th!
