Maybe I was dreaming, (and/or hoping---)- Was there ever any talk about a "Breakfast Club" musical?

Ah... the casting possibilities !!!!

That, and "Empire Records" !!

According to what I've heard, it exists, and was performed once, but was never good enough to be performed again. There are also rights snafus that left it stalled after its one performance.
