Did anyone see this production, I know the running time was close to 7.5 hours and the critics ripped it apart. But what was wrong with it?

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

7.5 hours? Yikes! This was a drama, not a musical, right? Who was in the cast? It's one of my favorite books, so I'm interested, but a stage version? Hmmmm.

It was shown in two parts and got love letters from the critics when it played regionally. It came to New York and was dismissed. Pretty much the same thing happened with THE KENTUCKY CYCLE.

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

Josh Hamilton played Homer. Colm Meaney played Dr. Larch, and Jillian Armenante played Melody. That's all I can remember as far as the cast goes. I believe that there was a lot of cutting/rewriting between the regional productions (in Seattle and LA) and the off-Broadway engagement at the Atlantic, which lead the to less than enthusiastic reviews it received here.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

I had tickets to see The Kentucky Cycle and it closed the week before on me.

I tired to look it up ( Cider House ) on IBDB but they don't seem to list it. Borstalboy did you happen to see either of them?

It didn't play on Broadway, so there wouldn't be a listing on IBDB. Check the off-Broadway database, IOBDB (iobdb.com).

I see, thank you for some reason i always thought that it played on Broadway and one last question AC126748, only part one was ever shown yes. The second part was never seen at least in New York, yes?
