I ordered mine for sure, even though I haven't seen the show, nor have I heard any of music. I wasn't going to pass that up.

Wow..cheap! Sweeney is 19.99 on itunes, so probably about $29 normally

So, I got my copy of The Color Purple today but am curious about the absence of a certain track. I had heard that Jill Scott and Patti Labelle were doing a bonus cover of "What about Love" for the album but have heard hide not hair of it upon listening. What gives? Did I reciever a bum copy or is it being released as a single later... or did I just make the whole thing up? Lord, many an inquiring mind would like to know...

Just received it the mail! That was fast.
After giving it a listen, I still find the music mediocre and the performances of the 3 church ladies just as annoying on the CD as they are in the theatre. I do like Miss Celie's Pants and The Color Purple (finale). Now if only the rest of the score resonated like these two pieces, I might have liked this show better.
