Shawnique Hill, the former stylist and dresser for Oprah Winfrey's Broadway hit, The Color Purple, has sued the show's producers, claiming she was fired after complaining there were too few "people of color" working behind the scenes. Her complaint alleges discrimination, breach of contract and wrongful termination. The show's producers confirmed the case was in litigation, stating: "We are confidant that there has been no violation of the law."
