See it. Kate Burton, Lynn Redgrave and entire cast are wonderful, in the type of style piece that isn't done here very often. (See this sort of thing is done a lot in London). Very well directed.
My opinion, I may be wrong.
I would love to see those two great actresses together. You're right. Plays like The Constant Wife are rarely done in the U.S.
twogaab I totally agree. I saw the second preview of the show and was amazed. The entire cast is amazing and the show itself is very good. The direction is great. There really is nothing you can say bad about the show (except the audience I saw it with).
I saw it Sunday and loved it too. My husband had been pushing me to see GGR but the cast and the story of Constant Wife appealed to me. I couldn't stop laughing and the performances were perfect. Also, the audience (while mostly older than me -- and I'm not that young) seemed to love it as well. I wish there were more shows like this.
Repeat statement: I would love to see this. When Harrison/Johns/Granger did Maugham's The Circle on B'way, I loved it.

I loved it, too...it is very different from other Broadway pieces, and no nuge ups & downs or twist. Just sophisticated wit in the conversation. Very refreshing, I would say. I am glad I saw it.
Add me to the list of people who adored this production. Burton and Redgrave are fabulous. A really terrific, well-oiled show; not at all dated.
