I left work early to catch the creative minds behind Avenue Q.
It was a pleasure. I loved the musical numbers:
Tear It Up and Throw It Away
A Piece from Kermit Prince Of Denmark.
They are very charming. I loved Bobby Lopez as Kermit.
Jeff Marx made me laugh as a flight Attendant and Kate Monster.
It was a joy.

Hey Corine2, I was there as well! I thought that "Tear It Up and Throw It Away" was quite funny and I look forward to seeing where it might end up. I had to leave around the time they got to the piece from "Kermit Prince Of Denmark" but I enjoyed that hour that I spent at the Drama Book Shop this evening.
Q is Faboo and Jeff and Bobby are so very talented.
I hope I still have a job manana. I left at 5. I was a few minutes late but it was worth it.

It was actually cut from Avenue Q, so while I don't know where it's going...that's where it's been. I believe it was for Gary Coleman and Kate Monster.
And, do you know what song they did from "Kermit"? Was it, by chance, "Talk" or whatever it's called (that's what I'm calling it). Speaking of "Kermit", Harris Doran just sang a song from that at Queer Songbook, although he did "King For a While". If they could just get around the little problem of obtaining the rights to the Muppets...
Yes, they told us that it was cut from "Avenue Q". As a matter of fact they sang it using the character's voices. They said that it will probably appear in one of the new projects that they are working on now.
I actually have a HUGE crush on Jeff Marx... I got to meet him before the Hair benefit. He sold me a balcony ticket... it was an interesting day
