It will be open an extra week, and some performances were cancelled in January to accommodate Patricia Clarkson's filming schedule!

I like Patricia.. But cancel 4 shows.. Crazy. She is not the star and, I would guess, 85% of the people going to see this, don't know who she is. Give the understudy a chance!!

yeah, I don't understand the cancelled shows. She's not a name that people are running to see in the this show. It's Cooper they're going to see. They should of just let her u/s go on instead.

Not that much of an extension, but still, great for them! I thought the show was astounding.

Also, I agree with the previous posters about Patricia Clarkson. Perhaps she's trying to maintain a "never missed a show" streak, like when they cancelled Seminar when Alan Rickman was sick, and H2S when Radcliffe had to attend the Harry Potter premier. However, I agree that she does not have the star power of Radcliffe and Rickman.

Well I guess they're really not planning on Cooper getting an Oscar nomination for "American Sniper". The Oscars are on February 22, which is the new closing night date. I know he wasn't nominated for the Globes or SAG, but there is still some talk of a possibility.

I 100% agree with all previous posters. While Patricia Clarkson IS very good in the show, she is not the main reason people are purchasing tickets, and they could EASILY put an understudy in with a notice on telecharge if they wanted to. I wonder about the American Sniper thing, too. If he does receive a nomination (his then 3rd in a row!), expect to see another week-long extension, with a few cancelled dates to make some appearances including the 22nd.
