Did anyone see The Exonerated?? Let me know what you thought!! Thanks!

I saw the exonerated. It was amazing. THe only thing that bothered me was that I saw the one with Stockard Channing and she seemed to be reading the whole time. She was the only one who had to keep reading. THe rest of the cast barely looked down at their scripts but she was sort of glued to it. Otherwise it was great

i saw the version at The Shubert Theatre here in Chicago last year and LOVED it...minimalist so that the words had more power...no distractions. Those that were a part of it were truly amazing and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time!

I saw it in NY last fall with Richaard Dreyfuss and Jill Clayburgh. I also thought it was a terrific and intense experience. We happened to be there the night that the real people who's stories were being told were in the audience, unbeknownst to the cast, and they were introduced to the actors afterwards. *Very* emotional.

Just found this old thread on a search - I'm going to see it at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, really looking forward to it. What was the film version like with Susan Sarandon?

I saw it off-Broadway my freshman year with Marlo Thomas, Richard Masur, and John Ventimiglia as the rotating guest cast. It was really powerful. I watched bits and pieces of the filmed version, and I think it just didn't translate very well. It was still emotional and everything, but it just lacked something that the stage version had.

But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)

I saw maybe the second or third preview back in 2002 (Dreyfuss and Clayburgh) and was simply blown away. An amazing piece of theatre.

I saw it three times when it was on tour in my city (once for a comp, one for an actual bought ticket, and the other i was an intern SM) and i loved it. it was a story that you felt every time and it grew. it wasnt staged in anyway that i thought it would be, though. but it was still wonderful at the same time. it starred montel williams and lynn redgrave.

I was fortunate enough to see it in DC with Brian Dennehy and Mia Farrow. And believe me - Farrow was absolutely wonderful. The whole cast was.

I also saw it...don't remember which season, but in NYC (I think 2002, with Dreyfuss). I was so knocked out by this play and once it started, I really don't see the actors on the stage...that is one of the reason why I really don't remember who was in the cast. Very powerful. And it was also with the real people came onto the stage afterwards. I was shaking.
