The Facts of Life: The Lost Episode

Has anyone else gone to see The Facts of Life: The Lost Episode down at the Kraine Theater yet? A friend and I went to see it tonight (it only runs Wed nights) because of the write-up that it received in Time Out New York recently, and it was absolutely hysterical.

Anyone who was a fan of the tv show will appreciate this spoof of a lost very special episode, where the girls turn tricks in order to raise money to save their dorm and Mrs. G's job. Viewer discretion is definitely advised. Natalie the jolly laughing fat girl, Tootie and her roller skates and "you're in trouuuuble," the Jo/Blair relationship, and even an appearance by Cousin Geri- this show has it all, totally funny, and if you have a chance, especially if you watched the tv show, you should try and check it out.

Oh yeah, it is *completely* inappropriate and slightly politically incorrect, and pretty much every joke that is not a dig at the tv show is a joke about sex. But that is, of course, the fun of it- in fact, the audience completely could not stop laughing after Cousin Geri appeared, so much so that the show basicially paused for a bit, so that the aud could get their laughter out of their systems and Mrs. G could say her next line. Again, loved it!

Haha I'd kill to see this--hadn't even heard of it. FDacts is one of my biggest guilty pleasures--ever since I was 4 years old in fact (can four year olds have guilty pleasures?)

I also would like to see this! I am a big fan of the show. I wish they still had it on TV. The last time I saw it was about last year they showed two episodes on Nick@Nite.

Sounds like fun. I've got the first three seasons on dvd, which are about as far as it went before it started turning to crap. There's a great episode in season three where Tootie gets crazy obsessed with Jermaine Jackson. Inexplicably.

fyi Mister Matt the TONY piece says that it'll be running until at least July, and based on the crowd last night (*completely* full house) hopefully it will extend.
And- it's from the same writer as Mommie Queerest, which I saw in L.A. about two years ago now or so, and also completely *loved*.
