My father was a huge fan of the original run of The Fantasticks when he was growing up. He estimates that he saw the show between 75-100 times. He keeps telling me that I need to see the show.
Now that the show has been revived I might finally have my chance. I will be going down to NYC (from Albany) in March and hope to get tickets. Are tickets readily available at a good price?
Also, my father speaks so highly of the show. What do members who saw the original run of the show years ago think of the current production.
Thanks for your help and I hope to see some of you at the Fantasticks!
Could you send me a private message? If your father's really seen the show a hundred times, I'd be honored to invite him to our upcoming 50th Anniversary Year Celebration.
I haven't seen it recently but I have seen the revival and I thought it was delightful. I almost went back last week but I wasn't able to get into town in time. Maybe on my next visit!

I love it! I've seen it twice and always recommend it, it's magic!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this production. I did not see the original production, but I saw the show in the early 1980s and I loved it. Then I just started my new habit of seeing it every weekend (!) and it just gets better and better each time. I loved it in the 1980s when I was a little girl, and I love it now when I'm a grown woman. I took my mother to see it for her birthday and then she took me to see it for my birthday. Please take your father to see this production...you and he will not regret it one bit!
