"The History Boys" last night...

So last night, out of curiosity, I went to see "The History Boys." I just felt like I would miss out on something if I didn't see it. After seeing it, I must say that while I don't think I would've missed out on anything, it was certainly one of the more thoughtful and intelluctual plays on Broadway in recent years.

All of the actors did a fine job in their roles, with Francis de la Tour stealing the show. I just loved her deadpan and droll manner of speaking. Richard Griffiths also delivered a truly heartfelt performance as Hector. The boys were really good as well, particularly Samuel Barnett as Posner. He just stuck out to me for some unknown reason.

The play itself I felt was a little on the slow side. However, I felt it was worth seeing. I didn't love it, as so many people on this board do, but it was definately woth seeing. I am glad that there was a play on Broadway that didn't underestimate it's audience, and actually made me think. If only more shows were like that...

My best friend and I saw it in June and loved it. It sparked some good conversation afterwards. I liked it so much, I bought the T-Shirt!

Definatly made me think. I loved it because of that.
It's a month later and I still think about a bit of it.
