Not sure what the "lol" is for, but anyway..... its STILL a limited run-- would be hard for ANY show to be the hottest show of '08, running till June
"Sunday in the Park with George" has a song called "It's Hot Up Here."
I mean, hottest show?
It wins hands down.
"But SA is one of your favorite shows?"
I really enjoyed Spring Awakening for what it is, and I really like the score. But there is a difference between liking a show and thinking it deserves all of the praise and award nominations heaped upon it. I can't say that I agree with it winning the Tony's for best book, choreography, new musical, etc., no.

I really want Passing Strange to be the hot new thing in 08 but it really needs a surge of people in the belasco theater. We'll see if reviews help at all.
In The Heights may be the hottest musical of '08, but the hottest overall show of '08 will be August: Osage County.
I think Passing Strange will become a moderate hit...it doesn't really have the same teen-angled appeal as Spring Awakening (music wise, story wise, etc etc) but I do think the hit of the year will be In The Heights. As far as revivals go, Gypsy will hands down be the hit of the year.
And I also think A Catered Affair should do relatively well.

After seeing it on Saturday, I'd have to say, "In the Heights".
I'm agreeing with all the "In The Heights" fans, but remember that "Billy Elliot" is coming this fall. So is "Shrek!" LOL

i agree with heights, but i think billy elliot will be a really big hit too.
Having seen BILLY ELLIOT in London, I predict that it will be a HUGE HIT, in the league of Wicked and Jersey Boys and with a critical acclaim that Bway hasn't seen in years !!!
