Hi there.
I'm visiting New York right now. And I'm trying to figure out what shows to see. So far I've seen White Rabbit Red Rabbit, Waitress, The Color Purple and Holiday Inn.
Now I'm trying to decide between The Humans and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. I may be able to fit in both, but if not, which of those two is the one you'd suggest? Thanks.

I'd personally go with Curious Incident. It's closing tomorrow and it's one of the best shows I've ever seen

Curious Incident - unless you're in a city where it'll be touring this year (like my city, SF).
It's an amazing show and staging - but I suspect that the first national tour will also be first rate.
The Humans is a great show as well and in particular has some amazing performances, including two Tony winners for their portrayals (Jayne Houdyshell and Reed Birney) who are still in the cast, I'm pretty sure.
But of the two plays themselves, Curious Incident has the edge, IMHO.

If you can fit in both go for it. I just saw The Humans, and the performances and direction are superb. If Curious is touring near you see The Humans.

Definitely The Humans. One of the finest new American plays in years.

The Humans is good, The Curious Incident is wonderful. Plus it's closing. See it before it does.

Personally, as much as I loved Curious Incident, I'd give the edge to The Humans. But it really depends on your own taste and what you want to see. Curious Incident is beautifully conceived, cinematic, at once epic and intimate, and breathtaking. The Humans is a brilliantly acted heart wrenching play of ideas that focuses on the here and now of American life; it incorporates wild elements of farce into family drama in a unique way. Both gutsy and original, the two are very different, not only from each other, but from everything else.

I love both, but Curious Incident is something special.

Curious Incident is astounding. The Humans is, frankly, overrated.

I think both are terrific and worth the effort to make each one fit in your schedule if possible. If you must choose, I would give the edge to The Humans because the original cast is one of the finest assembled of the season and although you are more likely to see The Humans performed again elsewhere, the greatness of this ensemble will be nearly impossible to match.

Enjoyed Humans cannot comment on Curious as we have never seen it.

The Humans is fine, mostly bolstered by some great performances. Curious Incident is stellar all around. I would see Curious Incident, personally.

Thanks for everyone's input. Due to a bad migraine, Saturday ended up being a no show day, so I only had the chance to see one for the shows today. I ended up winning the lotto for The Humans this afternoon, so that made my decision for me.
I thought it was a great play, wonderfully acted (although I do see why it wouldn't be for everybody).
The only issue is that my seats weren't great. C13 in the orchestra. Partial view. Really took me out of it at times. Wish I could have seen it from better seats.
Thanks again for the help:)
