Anyone heard anything about "The King and I" airing on PBS like they did for South Pacific? I really hope so!!!

Probably not till the end of the run. Remember that SOUTH PACIFIC was not shown on PBS until about a week or so before it closed.
I'm sure it'll happen. If they could do SOUTH PACIFIC and THE NANCE, they can do THE KING AND I.

They tend to do it as a persevation method.

Yes, it will happen. It was in the initial contracts for the show.

Most likely they will film it before Wantanabe leaves. Like others have said, will air it closer to the end of the run.

Well even if it is Live From Lincoln Center, that won't matter for me. My local CBS doesn't show those anymore. The last Live From Lincoln Center I remember them showing was South Pacific (in fact, that was when my mom decided she didn't like Kelli O'Hara).

I think the problem is you're watching CBS instead of PBS.

You must mean PBS, since LFLC is a PBS program and not CBS.

Live From Lincoln center is under Great Performances for me, and I have DirecTV, so check for that.

Wonder whatever happened to their recording of Act 1?
Looks like it has been shelved indefinitely.
