#1The Little Mermaid- SRO?
Posted: 10/28/07 at 11:16pmI think it's safe to assume that The Little Mermaid isn't going to have rush or lotto, even though Tarzan did (from the beginning, not just after the bad reviews). Do we think it's just as safe to assume that they WILL have SRO, since Beauty did in that same theater? Does anyone know for sure?

Posted: 10/28/07 at 11:29pmI asked at the box office a while ago and a woman said that, although nothing has been decided, SR is very likely.

Posted: 12/7/07 at 4:20pmAnyone heard any more reports in the past few weeks about the possibility of standing room? Cody Hanford, one of the Flounders, is from the Memphis area like me, and we don't get folks on Broadway too often. Disney is replacing Cody and JJ Singleton around Christmas Day, because both Flounders' voices are changing. I really don't need to pay full price, but I'm dying to see Cody before he is gone - and the show for that matter. Standing room would really come in handy right about now.

Oh - awesome! Thank you so much for the heads up. Do you know when they start selling 'em - when the box office opens or a few hours before showtime? Do they do it for every perf?
Thanks again!

Posted: 12/7/07 at 4:45pmThey only sell SR if every single seat is sold (that includes premium and cancellation tickets). That means that while they have a SR policy, they will not sell SR for a performance that is not already sold out.

Posted: 12/7/07 at 5:03pmFor a given performance - if they are sold out in the morning when they open, will they wait till that night to sell SR - to see if there are going to be cancellations? Or will they go ahead and sell SR in the morning if they're sold out when they open?

Posted: 12/7/07 at 6:10pmI stopped by the box office a few days ago and they said there is no SRO policy as of right now, but there will probably be something after opening.

#11re: The Little Mermaid- SRO?
Posted: 12/7/07 at 6:23pmThey may not sell SRO unless the performance is completely sold out, but really, how long until it begins consistently selling out? Probably not very.

Posted: 12/7/07 at 6:26pmIf trying to buy tickets on Ticketmaster is any indication, performances are selling out now.

Posted: 12/7/07 at 6:31pmFor the last days of Beauty and the Beast, the box office was inconsistent about when they would start selling the SRO tickets -- they would say one thing and then start the actual selling at a different time than they had said. Since it's the same box office staff for Little Mermaid, I would be careful.
