I saw The Long Walk last weekend and my immediate thought was how much this could be an inevitable successor to The Outsiders. The film has everything: a mostly young male cast, rain, gravel, roads, Mark Hamill, and more rain. I’m sure They could work out some fun staging magic with a turntable or turntables within a turntable(think Groundhog Day). Also, fun little cameo from Broadways Josh Hamilton!

Haven't seen the movie yet, but I've read the book and can see the vision.

Other than Carrie and Misery, have there been any other major Stephen King stage adaptations? Is The Shining still in development?

The Lost Boys this spring will surely be the closets since Carrie that broadway has gotten to a horror musical.
