Posted: 4/7/14 at 6:12pmHas anyone else seen this? I thought it was fun. Just a light, fun comedy with some lovely performances. Veanne Cox, Kristin Griffith, Adam Lefevre, Jennifer Lim, Daniel Pearce, Ray Anthony Thomas. I have nothing to do with the production and I don't know anyone in it. It was just a fun 90 minutes and it had something to say too. I am curious what other people think. It's produced by Woman's Project Theatre. I know their last show was a dud (I didn't see it) but I have seen some really great things they have produced.

Posted: 4/9/14 at 4:46pmI saw it last night and really enjoyed it. I thought it was very funny; people who enjoy situational comedy when certainly get a laugh out of this. The humor seems to arise from each character either lobbying for their favorite artist or lobbying in spite of someone else. At times silly, and Ray Anthony Thomas gives a beautiful performance.

Posted: 4/9/14 at 7:44pmI'm glad you enjoyed it as much as I did InclusiveStagesNYC. I was a little disappointed about the review in the Times. I really dislike when the Times dismisses shows like this. It's not the greatest comedy ever written but it was very competent and FUNNY. He nitpicked it. I think in a small town you might have a group of people like that on an Arts Committee. He never got past that. It deserved a better review. Does every show have to be a ground breaking masterpiece to get a good review? There is so much to enjoy in this show. Why couldn't the review reflect the joy of the show?

An enjoyable evening: smart and funny, offering food for thought, as well. Well directed and acted by an excellent cast.
One of the best plays of the season.

Posted: 4/14/14 at 3:58pmI agree. I don't think a show necessarily has to be groundbreaking to merit due praise.

Posted: 5/3/14 at 7:18amI saw this last night and enjoyed it a lot. It was consistently funny, with wonderful performances, nice sets, and good pacing. I think the themes were very true to life, with human foibles getting in the way of what should have been a merit-based competition. It closes tomorrow, so get yourself in there if you can.
