Saw it last week. It's a pretty good play, at least much better than the other play produced by The New Group playing in Signature. Having seen the first season of Scream Queens, I had doubt of Abigail, but the entire cast is fantastic and gives a very nuanced and convincing performance. It does get dark as the show goes on, so probably not something for a date. Some themes are not very well explored so some parts do feel old and a little stale. Still, I quite enjoyed it and would recommend it to my friends.

I was going to take some younger friends to see this but was encouraged not to due to "nudity". Was that the case?

There is one scene of a rather explicit sexual intercouse. But I promise you that you won't be able to see any sexual organ. Not sure if it's legal in New York to show that on stage.

Not sure about this show, but I wonder whether people consider the scene we all know in Hair as nudity.

Not as far as I can remember. The sexual intercouse scene is intended to be weird, forced. If you are following the show, you wouldn't find that funny, but perhaps a little pathetic.

You only see a guys butt, nothing from the girls. Given the subject matter you probably won't want to any way. Isabelle Furhman is gorgeous though.

Saw this on Saturday night, it is not ready for public viewing. It is still early in previews so hopefully it gets better. The characters are poorly developed, other than Alex Wolff's character. The girls are not convincing in their roles and there are so many holes in the Joe Tippett character that I would run out of pixels trying to list them.
The sets are nicely done and the seats are comfortable, and if this was better written it could have been a good, but disturbing play (it has dreams of being "How I Learned to Drive" )
It was the price we paid for getting to see Sutton in Sweet Charity and it was worth it, but next time, perhaps, we'll just donate the ticket.

Was anyone else tempted to yell out "The Orphan" when they were trying to decide what movie to watch?
