Hey everyone! I’m looking into the Normal Heart one-night-only benefit and had a few questions for anyone who’s done something like this before.
I’ve never tried a lottery for a one-night-only benefit—do these usually get super competitive with a huge crowd, or is attendance typically a bit smaller than a regular Broadway lottery?
Also, has anyone ever had luck finding tickets for a benefit performance on discount sites like TDF? I haven’t seen it listed (yet), but I’m not sure if that’s something that ever happens for events like this.
Would really appreciate any insight or past experiences—thanks in advance!

Looking at the website, it says that the lowest-priced ticket is already sold out, and this “low-tier” ticket is already quite expensive in comparison to a regular ticket for the majority of shows. Since it’s a one-night-only event, the lottery will likely be very difficult to win, given that many people are going to be competing for the one and only chance to see this. TDF is also very unlikely - since the show seems to be selling quite well already and will probably continue to do so, I wouldn’t expect that they would have any need or desire to offer tickets on any kind of discount service. At this point, your best bet is to buy a full-priced ticket, which I understand is out of reach for many - but is the only way to guarantee a seat at this performance. If that isn’t possible, you’ll probably have to hope to win the lottery, but as I said - that won’t be reliable.
