That was my second coherent thought. Every morning, I wake up, look at the interview, and cry, "Keep it! KEEP IT! IT DOES NOT OVERSHADOW SPRINGTIME FOR HITLER!"
Maybe it'll be in the outtakes. *crosses fingers*
*dies* You went to Rutgers with Roger?!?! That is AMAZING!!!!
Was anyone else shocked to find out he was older than 25? I was. After I first saw/met him in The Producers, I Googled...and found out that he's 42. I did a double take when I read his birth date. Is it just me, or does he look so much younger? Weird. Love him no matter what age he is, though!!!
As for that kiss - when I read that interview...let's just say I was extremely happy. I hope they film it and put it in the out-takes, as someone up there said...I have a short attention span when it comes to these things. Anyway, those two make such a great team....so adorable together. *sigh*
It had better be. That would actually be kind of cute, to have outtakes from rehearsals for the show on stage. Plus, that would be an entire reason in itself to buy the DVD. Not that I wouldn't anyway (perish the thought!), but another reason.
*sigh* Just thinking about it makes me bounce up and down.

I used to think he was in his early thirties. I mean, forty-two? No way. He turned thirty-one and just...stopped aging. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
...I want a hug from Roger. *pouts*
None of my friends believe me when I tell them how old he is (me, bombard innocent bystanders with useless information on Roger? NEVER!). Plus, several of them know him exclusively from the gap ad. Heh. Mmm.
I know! I actually conducted a survey among people I knew...ok. So I have this Lucy tote bag thing that I use a lot...and I have the picture of Roger biting his Tony stapled on the inside pocket (it's very boring where I live, can't you tell?) I had Snoopy as the World War One Flying Ace on the outside (both the cartoon and Roger, teehee), and thus Roger on the inside was a bit more relevant, but it died, to make a long story short (obviously too late for that, but let's not dwell on it). Anyway, I showed them the Tonys picture and asked how old they thought he was - all responses were in the late 20s, nothing less, nothing more. It was fun to see them react when I told them how old he really was....
And Roger hugs are the best hugs on the face of the planet!!!!
Regarding Roger hugs: I COMPLETELY AGREE! If it hadn't been my birthday, I probably would have lied. But then I'd have to go through my whole life having lied to Roger Bart...which would be torture.
Yeah, it's boring where I live, too.
Yeah...I deal though, only an hour or so away from the city!!
He's so cuddly....

Gap ad = teh_sex. It was my background for a while, with captions provided by a friend of mine - "I mean, that's like LEATHER Gary. And oh god, who ever posed Roger like that is my hero."
And he's strong, too! I only have to mention that because...I wanted to. *dies*
Okay, I'm back. But now I really can't focus on my history paper because I just keep thinking about his arms around me...*slaps self in face* Dammit, concentrate!
Ok, screw the paper. I'm going to play Go the Distance again.
It's a sad day when one of your favorite cds (for one song) was borrowed from an eight-year-old.
PS: That ad makes me go *faints*
Yeah, he is! I was surprised at how hard he hugged me...it was so happy. *melts*
LaeloftheLakes, you and I have the same probelm at the moment. This lab is just staring me in the face...and all that's going through my mind is "OMGROGEROMGOMGOMG!!!!!!"
...but then, it's like that a lot in there.
He looks so lovely in that ad....I only wish half of his head weren't cut off x.x. That sweater....and the pose...*frolics off to find it on the computer*

I know, aagh. I would trade in Matthew Broderick's elbow for all of Roger's head in the picture.
You guys are not helping at all with the Roger hugging. *cries*

The thing that kills me is that I distinctly and vividly remember having a copy of Lucky magazine from dec 2001 that DEFINITELY had that series of ads in it. When i went to go look for it this summer, knowing it *had* to be somewhere, i couldnt find it
I knooooow I had it and could tell you everything about the stupid magazine too-- colors on the cover, where the ad was in the book, etc...but i can't find the book....
And he does look rather young-- but more than age I was surprised to read that he has two daughters, or rather, one somewhere within a year older than me... (which turns out actually kinda young in my opinion to have had a daughter, but that's prolly mostly 'cause my parents were slightly older when they had me, but they're also not the oldest of parents who have teens my age either, more the middle of the two, but still...)
I was very surprised at first to hear he had sung the voice in hercules, but after, well, i couldn't stop thinking about how everything is circular-- i always had loved the song anyway (i'm a disney kid all the way) and i only loved his version, i never liked the michael bolton one...
I think it's kind of funny how they set up the picture...my friend described it once as, "Okay, Matthew. We think you're the hottest, you get to be the closest. Nathan, you're the most famous, go to the center. Roger...well, you're cute. Behind Nathan and to the right. Cady and Brad...anywhere behind the first three. And Gary....um...just hang out in the back."
I was completely bummed out by the fact that his oldest daughter is older than me, too. *le sigh*

I know, poor Gary! He's just...lurking in the shadows. But he look delicious in leather, so that partly makes up for it.
But since this is a Roger thread...ROGAH.
They really should've moved Gary closer. *sigh*
*so distracted by this thread*
You know, wherever there's a Roger Bart message board or thread, I feel compelled to post obsessively. And I do (gah, just look at the message board on his site!)....but..need...to focus....*Suppertime comes on*
Ah, who needs homework anyway? *Snoopy!dance*
That's totally how I thought the ad was set up, too! And...I don't have to search for it. It's printed out and hanging on my wall right behind my computer.
I think I should put the ad up on this thread, don't you? Can anyone tell me how to do that?
PS: Gary does indeed look delicious in leather. Ooh...brain just went to Roger in leather. *spasm*

That is a good/funny way to look at it, but kinda sad still (*awww* stupid masscommercialpeoples...)...I need to go look at the photo again methinks..
Random thought, anyone?
I'd like to see any other photos they may have taken that day-- you can't tell me that they only shot the one photo (and I don't mean like the photo I think I've seen in that series of ads-- one with just nathan and matthew I think...i mean other photos with the group...)

I was just thinking the same thing! And yes, masscomericalpeoples do suck =/.
*dies* Roger...in leather...*dies again*
Out of curiosity and a penchant for Randomness, is anyone else listening to "Keep it Gay" on a Roger Bart playlist right now? *whistles innocently*
My friends all have a thing for just the one line: "Oh, Roger."
*dies* I love watching the "Recording The Producers" just for his bit. It makes me squiggle.
Does anyone else think that Gary Beach probably enjoyed that kiss far too much?
H'okay. So. I actually found another picture from the Gap photo shoot...but not of Roger. *sigh* It's of Matthew and Nathan...and it's kind of cute, so I shall post it!
AH! Keep It Gay - my favorite part: Roger's lil' arpeggios at the end (that were cut, much to my dismay, when I saw the show in April...and in June). Everything the man does is adorable beyond reason.
And would you blame Gary for enjoying the kiss too much?? XD!!!

Way too much.
I'm actually listening to Assassins right now, but I had In the Cards on repeat all day yesterday. When the craving for Roger gets too strong, I'll just get out my mix CD. Speaking of which, I have to add In the Cards to that. Hm.
ETA: This is about to turn into a Roger picture thread. I can feel it.

WHOOOOOO!!!!! ASSASSINS!!!!!
...sorry. ^That tends to happen whenever I hear anyone talk about it. *hides*
In The Cards has this tendency to make me cry...I'm such a sap. *hides some more*

In the Cards makes me sob like a baby. Don't feel bad.
