I just watched the vid of that awful Marius singing Empty Chairs at Empty Tables. Words cannot describe how garishly awful it is.

Somewhere there's a video of high school production of Gypsy where the cast isn't that bad, but the student orchestra truly butchers the score. I'll try and find it.

EDIT: Found it. Here's "Rose's Turn". The girl playing Rose isn't bad, but the orchestra backing her up is. Especially the trumpets.





If your high school attempts to do Gypsy, please make sure you have musicians capable of playing the score

In response to that God Awful Les Mis "One Day More",
here is that same production, this time it is "At the End of the Day"

This made my ears bleed! They do the same choreography over and over. Especially listen to 1:00. It sounds horrendous!!! Horrible "Harmonies".

This thread is amazing...it's good to know other enjoy bad high school shows as much as I do.
This is "To Life" from Fiddler-it hits its high note (literally) at around :38 seconds, but if you stick with it to the Russian soloist, you are in for a delightful surprise

Hahaha, this thread made my day. I posted a link to that Blacklick Valley production of Les Mis on the Les Miserables forum that I belong to, and it caused quite a stir. I always though David Bryant was a pretty bad Marius, but those videos certainly helped put that in perspective. In closing, "DON'T THEY KNOW THEY'RE TAKING GLOVES FROM ONE ALREADY DEAD."
