Drew Sarich for Enjolras!

"I'm learning to dig deep down inside and find the truth within myself and put that out. I think what we identify with in popular music more than anything else is when someone just shares a truth that we can relate to. That's what I'm searching for in my music." - Ron Bohmer

re: The Official Enjolras Understudy Thread

Drew was incredibly sweet at the stage door (I saw him as Grantaire) and from what I've seen on the unmetionable site, He's pretty good as Enjolras too... YAY DREW!!!
What a night! I was in more laps than a napkin!

For those keeping track, Drew was on as Enjolras yesterday -- just the matinee. Aaron did the evening.

re: The Official Enjolras Understudy Thread

I have read that Aaron Lazar performed at a concert this past Monday (March 26).

I was planning to see Les Miz on March 27. Is there a good chance there will be an understudy for Enjolras on Tuesday March 27? I would like to see Aaron play Enjolras.

Yes, he performed at the Broadway Musicals of 1938 concert at the Town Hall. And he was quite a nice guy at the stage door as well.

He IS a nice guy. I can appreciate when people like or dislike a performance, and giving specific reasons are what forums like this are for. However, attacking someone's character, whether someone feels they are justified or not, is not only unkind, it's dangerous.

I love when people have the guts to publically proclaim their, perhaps, differing opinions. There are many performers I just "don't get" either, but I do know Aaron. I went to school with him, and he is a stand-up guy. I don't believe there is a nasty bone in his body. He just doesn't function that way. It's ironic too that HE would be attacked for being that way, when there are many other actors who actually ARE unsavory people, yet they are celebrated. That phenomenon will ALWAYS be a mystery to me in this town!

re: The Official Enjolras Understudy Thread

I have to say, melody2 is spot on right there. There are actors who are wonderful at the stage door AND wonderful in real life, but there is no way of knowing that unless you actually know them in real life - which the stage door is definitely not. Believing someone is a "good person" because they are nice to you (their customers) after a show is idealistic and fantasized.
