re: re: re: re: re: re: Back on Broadway

When Carol B was on Larry King Live she mentioned that she didnt like the 8 performances a week set-up of Broadway.

Speaking of Carol's, how about Ms. Channing?

CJR,
Glad to hear. You haven't been posting with your usual frequency ( which probaly means you are having a life). But I am in need of a good Chicago discussion. So start something soon. Ok?

If you've read my interview with Carol Channing on this site, you'll note that TGC is returning to Broadway (probably next season) in a version of SINGULAR SENSATION! that she did Off Broadway last year.

HAHAHA Yeah, lately I've had a life... actually the month of May gets very busy for me and thus, I'm not around as much. I've also been seeing someone, as well as partying with a group of old friends I recently reconnected with :) Sometimes it's actually fun to be me haha.

As for Chicago discussion, I'm always here for answering questions, but I won't have any *real* thoughts of my own until after I see the show again in June (with Tracy Shayne as Roxie)... I actually haven't seen Chicago since December. Yes, you can all now die of shock at that lol

CJR,
Heres something for you. The Weisslers are looking into taping a performance of the show. I guess for dvd release down the line. I know this from m y friend Randy who has been a dancer with the tours for quite a while.

I was not a fan of Jai Rodriguez when I saw him in Rent, but I bet he'd bring in more people than Drew Lachey or Mel B or some other has-been pop star.

(Jumping in, uninvited, on the Chicago conversation)

Oh great, the Weisslers want to tape Chicago for DVD release now?? I wish they'd done it earlier. Was it taped yet for the LC archives? (I would hoped they'd have used the original cast for that.)

Well, maybe there'll be bonus extras...like dress rehearsal footage, or something...

NBC, you're always welcomed in the Chicago conversation re: re: Back on Broadway (*waves*)

Chicago DVD release? I like the sound of that. Please dear lord in heaven let it be a good Roxie and Velma. That's all I have to say about that!

Definitely Mary Stuart Masterson; no matter if again in a musical or in a play. Well, I'll be seeing her in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" in Washington DC in a few weeks.

Patrick Wilson was a great commodity. Lost him to film.
Wouldn't mind Mandy Patinkin either.

Good to know. She's such a wonderful actress. I always enjoy seeing her on stage whatever role she's in.
