And let's face it, people. Liza Minelli is in no way able to perform on Broadway eight shows a weak. I am a HUGE fan of her's, and I don't mean to be bitter, but she can't do it physically.
Donna Lynne Champlin, Julia Murney (would be amazing as Elphaba), Leah Hocking, Marin Mazzie, Maureen Moore (in a role she gets to do 8 times a week), Tina Maddigan, Denis Jones, Noah Racey, Catherine Brunell, my list could just keep going.
Anthony Rapp - he just finished up Private Parts, Public Places. I think he would be fantasic as Seymoure. Maybe after Hunter (or Joey - if that happens)leaves.
Though scattered and divided we are still its heart...AIDA SEPTEMBER 5th, 2004...one more longing backward glance...
I AM NOW "TGIF!"
Mandy Gonzales (my icon) and Orfeh, both major talents who got stuck in bad shows at the Minskoff. Let's not blame the actresses for the material boys and girls.
Patti LuPone (in a MUSICAL, dammit!) Elaine Paige (because we don't get her over here nearly enough) Rebecca Luker ("110 in the Shade" - I think she would be perfect...especially if they got Hugh Jackman as Starbuck)
Rosencrantz: "Be happy - if you're not even HAPPY what's so good about surviving? We'll be all right. I suppose we just go on."
- from Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
Gavin Creel, yeah, definitly. Also, Noah Racey. I thought he was very underrated in Never Gonna Dance. It would be great to see him get another shot in something new It's cool watching Tina Madigan on Travel Network, but it would be even greater to see her back on stage.
