Posted: 8/3/07 at 3:56amI think she is a great performer but love? Humm.. that is Chris's department. I am looking forward to her performance in Young Frankenstein, as well as the other cast mates. I was happy to hear she won the part.

Just saw the video of Mara Davi as Janet Van der Graff on wwww.Broadway.com...and OMIGOD!!!!!!! Thought she was stunning in A Chorus Line, but after seeing this video I'm stunned! (Think I might turn straight..hihihi)
She is so gorgeous, and so humble. She sings like a bird, and dances like a godess....so yup! LOVE MARA!
Still Love Sutton though!

We usually call our Ops Department (short for "operations") when our computers aren't working or there's a copy jam.
Sutton's great at installing upgrades too!
Actually---I think she's pretty amazing. She's a triple threat that has a true "star quality" stage presense. All you have to do is see someone else play one of the roles she created. You may see "all the right moves" but the Star Quality and personality just aren't there.
You either got it, or you ain't...
...and Sutton's got it!

I thought Janet in THE DROWSY CHAPERONE was The "Oops" Girl.
Who the hell was The Opps Girl?

Posted: 8/3/07 at 10:13amI don't know, but it's better than being called the Flops Girl.

Okay, that picture of Sutton and her Tony is adorable.
Where's it from?
#16re: The Opps Girl
Posted: 8/3/07 at 2:21pmI think it was from some feature "Sutton preparing for her day at the Tonys" the year she was nominated for DROWSY. That was her waking up in the morning before she started to get ready.

Maybe missing the point or we don't dream of Sutton? Have fun.
As for Janet being the "Oops Girl" well, it was Janet playing a role, so can't it apply to others also? It seemed more like a character description to me? The "Man" kind of had me a little confused at times. I think it is on the CD though, so I'll get back to you on that one.

Ok, so I just found this thread so I gotta bump it to show the Sutton love.
She's soo amazing. She basically changed my life when I saw her in Millie in 2003. I can just remember watching her up on that stage singing and dancing to Forget About the Boy and I was in awe. That was the first time I just knew that I HAVE to do something on Broadway, anything. It doesn't matter if I never get to perform on Broadway, I just want to be able to experience that kind of fillfulment.
Then I finally got to meet her three years later the day after I saw her in Drowsy. Since she didn't come out the stage door so I went back the next day. She was soo sweet! She seemed so touched when I kinda told her how much she means to me. That's another reason why I love Sutton, not only is she amazly talented, but she's soo humbled still. She's amazing. She's my idol.
And I'm SUUUUUPER exicted for Young Frankestein!! She's gonna be soo funny in it!
