re: The Phantom Of The Opera

I sat up there for 'West Side Story' on New Years Eve 1984 and they were fine. We had seats right around to the side. Just remember you are very high up there watching a show that is laden with special effects all over the stage that you really do need to see.

I didn't see that much but that was nothing to do with the seats, it was NYE and we had started a little on the celebration drinks!

Last time I went to Her Majesty's Theatre, I was in the front row of the balcony and it was hard seeing characters at the top of the staircase in the "Masquerade" number !
Sarah bernhardt to a fellow actress: "Have you got stage fright, dear?" "No," the young lady aswered astonished. "Don't worry, it will come along with talent!"

Skip the MacDonalds before and after the show and go for a more expensive ticket!

That is pretty much how I do it. cheap things all day and a top price ticket (from TKTS or an offer though usually). I hate sitting up at the top with a restricted view, I'd rather not go than have a bad seat.
