The Price @ Walnut Street, Philly opened last night!

Just wanted to sneak in a mini plug for this show. If you are looking for a dose of compelling acting and an amazingly real life story...don't miss this production.

Real life father and son actors, these 3 Prosky men make a stunning team! You could hear a pin drop at the Walnut Street theater the entire 2 hours. It will grab you and suck you into their distorted little family web. What a refreshing change from spectacles set to music!

Full BWW review and interview with Robert Prosky to come shortly.

This production originated at Cape May Stage and is directed by the marvelous Michael Carleton (full disclosure...he's a friend...and employer!). I got to see it in Cape May and it was utterly compelling, beautifully acted and staged.

If you can, GO GO GO!

bumping this up because I will interview Robert Prosky very soon. I'd love to take BWW questions for this loveable man who probably knows or worked with Charlie Chaplin!

Sure, I didn't know who he was either, until I googled him (prior to seeing The Price). He has about 30 stage productions and a tons of film & TV credits under his belt. Best known for his years with Hill Street Blues and of course, Mrs. Doubtfire as the drunken, TV Exec. who convincens Robin Williams to drink with him in the restaurant.

Anyway, feel free to e-mail any career questions for Mr. Prosky to me at pbspotlight@yahoo.com.

Thanks!
