The Producers as a show is FAR from Bambi, and I have a feeling that the movie won't be too far from the show...

first you some of you tear down rosario for her efforts and now uma.
geez, there's just no pleasing you guys is there?
if she's dubbed it's wrong. if they lowered it just a notch so she could sing it then that's wrong too.
or better yet, the speculation that they lowered it because in all fairness by that millisecond clip of one teeny tiny section how could you know the entire song was lowered.

It's all speculation right now. It won't be fully clarified until the movie comes out. I'll be happy if the "newer" people the roles (aka Will and Uma) put energy and life into their roles and songs, and are able to sing the songs well.

Me too, Marguerite, can't wait! I love that I'll finally get to see Lane and Broderick in these roles! (ps: Marguerite, your signature is hilarious! Exactly what I'd expect from a Percy/Javert meeting :) )

Thurman sounds fine- she'd better, what with the benefit of pitch correction and other fun studio doodads. But I'm not sure I like the trailer; it falls into the classic trap of giving away too many of the best gags. I almost pissed myself laughing the first time I saw Adolf the pigeon, but anyone who's seen this trailer won't be surprised.

However, the decision to use the movie's music as underscoring rather than "Generic Caper Music for Strings #24" was a good one.

Hi, ( this is my first post)

I saw Uma on Regis and Kelly today and she talked about The Producers. She said it was her doing the splits in the preview, and that the only other time she did musical theatre was when she was a child and she was in community theatre. Regis was excited about the movie. Just thought i would share that.
