Great book! I love the point of view it is written in - as opposed to similar books that are more textbook-ish.
Most of what he said I knew already, though. I wish they were two seperate books - 1) his opinions on his favorite and not-so-favorite shows and 2) the business/tourist stuff.

It's sort of like..."everything you need to know about Broadway for people who don't already know that much."
It's hysterical and I LOVED reading it. No, none of the information was new to me, but it's still a fun little book. Seth is great.
I love his bit about bootlegs.

Seth's 'Q Guide' is a riot to read. Among the topics he covers:
* The Top 10 Broadway CDs you must own!
* Tony Awards: Triumphant wins and devastating losses
* The gayest characters on stage!
* How to snag tickets to the hottest shows
Plus he gives the dish on divas ... and theater Web sites, such as Playbill.com, Talkinbroadway.com and Broadwayworld.com.
And don't forget he's doing a 'Seth's Broadway 101' concert to benefit Broadway Cares on Nov. 6 at NYU. Guests include Laura Benanti, Charles Busch, Manoel Felciano and Norm Lewis.

Finally ordered this.
Love him on Sirius 77. I just hope his friends have a sense of humor! His stories are a little over the line sometimes. It's like he's kibitzing with his best friend, but forgot the mic is on.
This book is awesome! It makes me happy, partially because, as I read, I can hear Seth's inflections as he would be writing it.

I just got the book a few days ago, and it's really fun. He makes a few quite hilarious remarks about things like bootlegs and "second-acting". The only complaint I have is that there are grammatical/spelling errors throughout. For example, Shoshana Bean is called "Shoshanna Bean" numerous times throughout the book. Oh well, it's still definitely worth buying!

Is his regular job to conduct the orchestra in a Broadway musical?
Yes, I noticed the English errors as well. And it's Cathy Rigby - not Kathy Rigby.
