Saw this last night from the seats in the rear mezzanine. Maybe if I was in the front orchestra I would enjoy it more, but I was bored out of my mind. I like their music and knew some of the songs (not all), but 2 hours of them is probably too much. And the video footage was really cheesy. I would much rather see their old footage and watch them talk about the band than watch actors portraying them. Only go if you are a huge fan.
And, really, charging Broadway prices for that bare-bones production ? Steven Van Zandt must be making loads of money off of this.

Interview where they talk about burying the hatchet, thanks to Van Zandt's support.

#30The Rascal's RUSH policy
Posted: 4/22/13 at 1:25pmWell, this is easy: There is no rush policy. No rush tickets are being sold. Standing room ($27) will be available for any show that is sold out. If you're interested, go to the box office before the show (weekends are more likely to be sold out), and ask. Source of this info: box office personnel.

So that's what the $27 was that was posted on all the theater websites. Why no public announcement?
Wouldn't mind standing during this show.

Was three rows from the stage too close? High stage?
Going this Friday....

Posted: 4/30/13 at 9:36amYou should be fine. I was in the fourth row of the orchestra. The projections looked blurry to me, but I couldn't tell if they really were blurry or if it just where I was sitting. Enjoy the show!

Posted: 4/30/13 at 10:19amJust wanted to report back on the Broadway production of The Rascals: Once Upon A Dream compared to the Capital Theater (in Port Chester, NY) version in December. I didn't notice any difference at all. There certainly wasn't anything new added as far as I could tell. Same song list and identical filmed segments. But, I'm also happy to report, I enjoyed it just as much the second time!! If you love this type of music (and The Rascals), this is a must-see show!! You can tell I'm a huge fan of this group.

Thanks Len Gersten, glad you enjoyed it as much the second time around. I am seeing it this week, I only know a few of their songs but am very curious and looking forward to it. I see they that they we be touring, playing in the NY area again in July ( Jones Beach & PNC Banks Arts Center).
