The Real Thing Rush?

Has anyone had any luck with the half-hour-before rush? I was thinking of trying to pick up a half-priced balcony seat one of these days. Also, I noticed that BroadwayForBrokePeople lists a $32 general rush when the box office opens, but Playbill says it's $47. That's a pretty big difference, so any clarification would be great.
