Has anyone seen this yet? I went today and absolutely loved it. The acting was strong all around (I particularly loved Dana Ivey), and it was very funny and engaging. I'd like to hear what others thought.

I'll be there in a few weeks. Beginning of March.
I went this evening, and it is a very good show. I was laughing quite a bit. The four performances are excellent with Dana Ivey and Mary Louise Burke stealing every scene. It is definitely recommended!
I was there. It was hilarious. Definitely one of the better shows I've seen at Playwrights Horizons. Loved Dana Ivey, Marylouise Burke and the other two in the cast. I was laughing so much and so was the rest of the audience. The direction by Walter Bobbie was also excellent...the show as fast-paced and kept my attention the entire time. Also loved the set. Congrats to all involved...I think this one will be a hit for Playwrights!
I was there tonight as well, and was quite impressed by the performances, direction and script. Both Ivey and Burke are turning in top-rate comedic performances. I was in stiches for the whole show.
The two supporting actors also deserve special mention as they totally hold their own with the two veterans. Definitely check this one out!
What kind of 'comedy' are we talking about exactly?

Definitely a crowd-pleaser and I can see this show extending. It's a "religious" comedy. Don't want to give the surprises away, but let's just say that Dana Ivey isn't quite pleased (an understatement) when the religious lady keeps knocking on the door with her pamphlets. Hilarious and excellently acted. Great cast.
It's not a dark comedy. At times it borders on screwball comedy. The dialogue is fast and furious, and doesn't let up til the end.

Okay, I think I met some of you guys tonight...were you in the first and second row? I was in the front row talking theater with you before the show started...and I agree that it was definitely fun, our part of the theater especially was laughing like crazy. I'd really begun to wonder about Playwrights given some of their recent productions, but this was just delightful, especially the acting of Dana Ivey and Marylouise Burke, and helped restore my faith...
Hey April Saul!
Yes that was me in the second row. Glad you liked the show too. I guess our section was a little raucous, but I'm sure the actors appreciated it.
Yeah I was in the front row in the center. I would possibly go back to see this again, as I hadn't laughed that hard in quite a while. Dana Ivey's facial reactions are priceless.
I have to say that both Dana Ivey and Marylouise Burke are giving outstanding performances. Last night was just so funny!! Definitely go see this if you have the chance...it's on tdf right now. Don't pass up this opportunity.
What's the PLAYBILL look like?
I'm anxious to see it!

Is this a Playwright Horizons production, or an independent theater company who is renting out the space?
Mike, the playbill has a photo of a Bible engulfed in flames (I can post a picture later).
And I believe it's a Playwrights Horizons production.
