The Secret Garden

So, I just got the part of Jane, and i'm wondering...

who the @&*#&$ is Jane?! Does she sing? Does she have any lines? I didn't even know such a character exsisted in this story!

Anything you may know about the character is much appreciated!

She's a "dreamer" - one of the "dead" ensemble.

re: The Secret Garden

Actually, Jane is a maid in Archibald Craven's household, isn't she? I just finished a production of "The Secret Garden" and, as I recall, the female dreamers are Claire, (that was me) Alice, Mrs. Shelley, the Ayah and Rose

re: The Secret Garden

Yeah, I just read the script, I think she is a maid.

Give it to me straight...is it true that I only have one line and three to four seconds of stage time?

re: The Secret Garden

Jane has about two lines, yeah. In our production, we didn't even have a Jane. Our Martha just took over the lines.

But I'm sure you'll have other things to do in the show? I hope?

re: The Secret Garden

The ensemble in The Secret Garden has a lot to do, though. Congratulations!
