This looks interesting, and If I can find a way to swing it - I'd love to go and listen to an evening of Audra...any thoughts on this piece or any info on it?

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

I'll be there on the 10th, I believe.

She could sing the Oscar Meyer Weiner Song on a continuous loop for an hour and I'd be thrilled.

There is an article somewhere on the various sites that gives the authors' names of the various works that are commissioned after the titular sins. There are other songs on the bill as well including some from Light in the Piazza.

When this program was announced a long time ago I automatically assumed it was the Kurt Weill work, also for a single female voice and also called The Seven Deadly Sins, but the joke is on me.

I had tickets for Raisin on the 10th, and had to exchange for a much later date.

Actually, so did I.

But doesn't the Weill SEVEN DEADLY SINS feature a quartet of men and, at least in it's original conception, a second female who danced the emotions of the singing female?

Beats me.

I have heard it but once, and that was when City Opera did a version of the Weill piece that was staged. There was a Dancing Woman as well, but that may have been a director's addition rather than Weill. Sort of like Oklahoma with the Laurey and Dream Laurey.

Anyone out there have the Lenya recording and know the work better than us two?
