So on E!'s the Soup, Joel McHale showed a clip of The Times They Are A Changin' off of the View. He was obviously making fun of the exercise balls or what not.

I saw that and didn't quite understand.
Tonight's "What the Kids are Watching" was hilarious. They should show more clips from the Bratz cartoons, though.

This was the first I had seen of The View performance, and yes, I'll admit, it was pretty ridiculous.
Why the yoga balls, Times, why?
Well get ready for more ridiculousness, because the whole show is like that, crazy and a complete mess.
I don't think this show is going to be around for long.

I saw that and laughed. It seemed confusing.

I'm aware of the state of the rest of the show, and I still really enjoyed it. I know a lot of it is ridiculous, I did chuckle at places that I don't think were supposed to be chuckled at, but I would pay to see it again!
When I saw it, I was fixated on Michael Arden because he has a lot of charisma on stage, but I don't think he has enough to make sense of the "plot" Overall the show is a disaster, and I think the cast is trying to do the best with what they have, but I mean when they start making fun of you on The Soup then I think it's time to admit defeat.

THE SOUP pulls no punches when it comes to pointing out the pretense and folly in the theatre community.
I remember when they profiled the Tony Awards and called theatre people "the carnies of the entertainment world." I hated hearing Joel McHale say that, but sadly, I had to agree.

I TiVo The Soup all the time. When I saw that I laughed. It looked so strange. If a broadway show is being made fun of on The Soup already, it is certainly not going to last long.
I watch The Soup religiously. Joel is hot too.
At first I would say The View clip was unfair, except he was spot on.

aw i missed it. i love the soup. i don't like how he made fun of that actress who won the tony this year. i think she was in drowsy chaperone.
^ Beth Leavel. How did Joel make fun of her?

I love Dylan. I love Michael Arden. I love Twyla Tharp.
But watching the segment on the View, my only reaction was "WTF". And what was with the guitar prop? Maybe I need to see the show, but it seemed a little awkward and out of place...
And Joel mocked the excited nature of her speech. I personally thought the speech was great. Anyway, The Soup makes me giggle. Poor Times.

i'm guessing (Since i've never seen the show) that she accepted her award in character and it was awesome but joel just sort of mocked her. I thought it was mean and that broadway actors should definately not be a target unless they're celebrities. i.e. ashlee simpson "this is such a good broadway"
