re: The Stepford Wives as a Musical?

no..just no. you guys don't understand. that drek that came out last year was *not* "the stepford wives". "the stepford wives" was actually a very suspenseful novel written by ira levin and made into a very superior 1975 film. the crap that came out last year was a desecration of the original's material and intent.

so no, just, no...no more crap on Broadway.

re: The Stepford Wives as a Musical?

well, it would only work for me IF they stayed true to the original, which the movie did NOT.
It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story... AGATHA CHRISTIE, Life magazine, May 14, 1956

i agree elphaba...the attempt to "camp up" the stepford wives was the wrong move. just a horrible un-funny piece of crap. what a waste of good material and a good cast.
