Call me crazy, but...

I know that I've never been a fan of movie-become-musicals. I just think it's unoriginal.

However, after rewatching The Terminal (Speilberg's airport film starring Tom Hanks) I couldn't help but think what a beautiful musical this would make. There are so many opportunities for song.

Anyone else agree?

i think it would interesting. I can see your point and how it has originality and uniqueness about it. A man stuck in an airport as a song. I think that is a very thought out idea.

Kristin Chenoweth could barely control a Great Dane she trotted onto the stage. "Great, they gave me a dog that weighs five times what I do", she quipped. For the record, she weighs 93 pounds, and has a Maltese.

I'd love it!

But the secret ingredient is love. Dammit.

simple set...lots of different kinds of characters...each with their own story...I like it! I liked the movie too :)

That sounds like a great idea for a musical. I do want some original Broadway shows as well, but I do like the idea for that.

i'd kind of like to see it as a ballet, done by matthew bourne. Updated On: 7/9/05 at 04:34 PM

Thinking more about this, I can't help but think it would work better as an opera, completely sung-through.

I didn't enjoy the movie too much. Although I suppose I could see it as a musical. Not that I would see it...
